I had the opportunity just before it turned too cold to shoot some portraits of Melissa and her Mom Jeana. Melissa wanted to have some photos she could could compare to her senior portraits in few years. We had a great time in downtown Huntsville on one of the last beautiful days of Fall. I’ll be looking forward to shooting those senior portraits in a couple of years!
We had a perfect fall Sunday afternoon a few weeks ago and were able to take some great updated family portraits of Justin, Brandy, and Anabel.
Recently, I had the opportunity to travel to Birmingham to shoot family portraits of some old college friends and their two boys. Many of the photos below have to rank up there as my favorites from this year.
Christy and Todd couldn’t even remember the last time they had family portraits taken (something about a cruise ship in the ’90s). I’m glad I could help out and stop the cycle of cruise ship family portraits. Maybe next time they won’t wait 15 years for new ones!
I’ve been able to spend a lot of time photographing this beautiful baby. I shot her newborn photos not too long ago and now her parents had me back to shoot her 3 month portraits. I love repeat clients! The first shot below goes down as one of my favorites of the year.

For this shoot, we all headed up to the Rainbow Mountain playground one afternoon that turned out to be a bit warmer than any of us had anticipated. Despite the heat, Anne and Tod and their girls were troopers and we made some great photographs together.
Have I mentioned that I love repeat clients? Making new photos and seeing how everyone is growing up is just great. I shot this family a few weeks ago and just finished editing their portraits. Enjoy!
I got around to taking some new portraits of these boys. I think they turned out great. Look for the results of two other family portrait photo shoots soon.
I finished editing Anabel’s first portraits and think they turned out perfectly. I’m already looking forward to next time.
