A lot of people like snow.

I find it to be an unnecessary freezing of water.

Snoqualmie Falls Panorama

I finally got around to stitching together the 20 or so shots I took at Snoqualmie Falls. This was my first attempt using Photoshop Elements for Mac. I think it turned out rather well. I’m posting three different versions because I couldn’t decide which I liked best.

Granite Mountain HDR

IMG_6849_50_51_tonemapped

I shot this one from the top of Granite Mountain after a long hike up late in the day. More people were coming down the mountain that going up. In fact, I only saw three other people going my direction. This was definitely one of the steepest ascents I’ve done. It took me almost two hours to go the 3 miles to the top. The view from the top was worth all the hard work though.

Granite Mountain

I’m kicking off the new site with a shot from the top of Granite Mountain near Seattle, WA. Please leave me a comment here on the blog or over on Facebook or Twitter with your thoughts on the new site. Enjoy!

Look for lots of new photos over the days to come. I’ve got tons to post.

Also, please let me know as soon as possible if you need family portraits for Christmas card photos. I know it’s only October, but my time is filling up fast.
