My Photoblog

In case you’re interested in a relatively regular stream of photography from me (that’s not necessarily related to weddings and portraits and such), I thought I’d point you to my photoblog: photoblog.brianmitchell.com.

World Vision & Big News

We have been World Vision sponsors ever since 2005. It is a wonderful program with an awesome purpose both here in the US and abroad. Check out their web site for more information on the great work they do responding to disasters, fighting hunger, educating children, and providing clean water for those less fortunate.

And now, the news: for 2011, I’m going to donate 1% of Brian Mitchell | Photography profits to World Vision. I know it’s not a lot of money, but I figure every bit helps. I plan to increase the percentage I’m able to give to World Vision by another 1% each year. I hope you’ll join me in sponsoring a child or making a donation. Together, we can all make the world a better place.

Email your shopping cart

I hinted at it previously, but another new feature now offered when ordering photos is the ability to email your shopping cart (and therefore, your selected photos). So, you can select the photos you like and email your selections to your spouse or other family members to get their opinion before placing an order. You can even send it to me if you’re having trouble selecting the best paper or mounting choice for your prints.

Isn’t Zenfolio awesome?

2010 was a great year for BM|P!

2010 was an awesome and groundbreaking year for Brian Mitchell | Photography. And, it couldn’t have happened without you, my wonderful clients! In fact, in 2010, I had 12 separate clients and 18 different sessions ranging from corporations to families, from pregnant moms to newborns, and from engaged couples to brides.

I’m definitely looking forward to 2011. I’ve already got a few weddings booked and hopefully lots of family portraits and corporate shoots will be coming too! I’ve also got some great plans for BM|P next year including mini-sessions, new print offerings, and a completely re-vamped web site.

Stay in touch and be sure to book your next session early.

Sessions Per Month and Mini-Sessions

Business has been great over the last several months here at Brian Mitchell | Photography just like it was during the Spring. However, so that I can continue to offer each of my clients the quality and focus that they deserve, I’m going to limit the number of sessions I shoot each month to two. That’s right, just two. That means more time for me to dedicate to your photos and, just as importantly, more time for me to spend with my family. So, it’s never too early to book your next photo session as space in the future will be limited.

On a side note, next year I’ll be offering a few 25 minute mini-sessions where I’ll shoot all day at the same location and offer your family the chance to have portraits made. Each mini-session will include:

  • 25 minute session
  • Assistant on-hand for kid-wrangling
  • 5-10 high-resolution images on CD, fully edited and retouched
  • 1 watermarked Facebook-ready image for sharing
  • Rights to Print your images
  • Images in a online gallery to share with family and friends

Location and pricing are still to be determined, but rest-assured both will be awesome.

Still more photos (three more portrait sessions, an engagement session, and a corporate party) left to edit and get up on the blog so check back often or subscribe to the RSS feed or newsletter. See the bottom of this page to enter your email address and subscribe to the newsletter.
